  1. Archive task when job is done

By having 20 of task in a month linked to team resource It would be useful to make the tasks done to be archived to a group task (now I have to displace it manually and it takes too much time and to relate it is not the way to do)

Resource gant is missing, that will be useful to attribute new task without conflict ( tasks on one column)

  2. Complexity of Task

Add an additional field called “complexity of task” BUT the higher the complexity of the task, the fatter the gantt bar is. It would be a good visual as people review projects.

I have to use three votes.... this app is so nice. :)

    Thank you for the idea.

Your idea works if you are only allowed to select tasks continuously at the same outline level.

Tasks are organized in a tree structure, editing multiple tasks at the same time can confuse users a lot. For example, if we select a parent task and one of its subtasks, editing the date of the selected tasks together will cause a logical problem.

Your idea will cause a very big change, the development team will discuss it. Thank you very much for this.

    Best regards,
    QuickPlan Team

  9. Timeline Format

Edit: What I am looking for is to be able to create a roadmap without specific dates. People see the dates and then lock in on it vs seeing generalization of x weeks out, etc.

Would it be possible to have # of days/weeks/months as an option and not calendar days? On day 1 do X then day 3 do this then day 4. It is repeatable regardless. This way when I open it to tweak it for the next project I don’t have to go adjust the dates. Not a huge deal. But you did ask for ideas. Thanks…

  10. Have a Network Diagram Screen

Creating tasks and creating links via a network diagram makes project creation much more visual and creative.

A project network is a graph (flow chart) depicting the sequence in which a project's terminal elements are to be completed by showing terminal elements and their dependencies.

It is much easier to create links this way and especially for showing the overall order and dependencies of a project.

Ideally, the tasks making up the critical path will be indicated in bold. (ie. the items that if delayed or shortened will affect the final completion date of the project).

  12. Ressource view

A useful suggestion: to have a ressource view in addition to the current views in a calendar time-line. It means the possibility to check if a (filtered ou all) ressource is beesy, with the details of his/her activities
    I.e.
    - left colum: name of the ressource/member
    - full colored case when beesy par day or per week versus zoom
    - under the name of the ressource, the possibility by expanding/reducing to check the corresponding activity detail.

I know there is the possibility to create a project based on a current project per member, but this is the same structure in…

  13. iPad Keyboard Shortcuts

This app looks wonderful on an iPad, however, it could be so much more efficient if it supported keyboard shortcuts. There are some very basic shortcuts that would substantially improve the app. For example, "delete" to delete a task, arrow keys to move between tasks, etc. Even a few basic ones to start would be very helpful!

  15. error message when using the option to add a task to the IOS calendar

I get an error message when I want to add a task to the IOS calendar. Apparently I have to allow QuickPlan access to the IOS calendar but I can not see how I can do that.

    The error message is
"Access Denied You have denied QuickPlan permission to access the IOS calendar. You can grant permission in the system settings"

I can not find where I can grant such permission, neither in the IOS calendar settings or in the QuickPlan settings. Please help, the manual does not give any information either.

  16. Alerts

    Hi
I know this idea has been proposed before, simply it's an alarm or some kind of warning or alert in any kind, for example changing the color of the task par to red or a flag appears or something if we didn't complete the task 100% as planned , so it's a reminder of deadlines to meet or if missed

    Thank you

From QuickPlan 6.0, there is a new column “to be %” which is used to show the “to be complete rate”, you can just compare it with the actual “% complete” for the purpose.

  17. Earned value

    • It would be very nice to have asolkumn with EV (Cost * Percent complete). The actual progress of the project will then be (EVtot/COSTtot)*100
    • I suppose a bit over ambisious, but it would also nice to have a planned S-Curve for the project (actual may be to tricky)

    Hello,

Thanks the idea – this is about team collaboration.

A PROJECT is a FILE – QuickPlan stores a project as a .qpp file.

    To do team collaboration:
    - We can develop a team collaboration system for QuickPlan only. And we will have to charge the users like 1? USD per user per months, and the security project data created by the users will be saved on our server … – this is another business. Not suitable for the enterprise users.
    - Or. There are many existing collaboration platforms for team collaboration based on file sync. Like MS Sharepoint server for enterprise; or the common cloud storage service for example Dropbox for team, Google Drive to do basic file based team collaboration. The suggested solution is to use QuickPlan for macOS, and to sync .qpp files with your team members, with access controlling provided by the platforms of Dropbox, …

  20. Multi platform functioning

Is there any plans for a Windows app to be available as well as an android app? I love this app but would love to use at my desktop computer and than sync to my android phone.
