More flexibility in task relationships
Hi, i´m using the software for more than one year and its near perfect!!
But i miss a lot more flexibility when linking my tasks. I would like to be able to establish more types of relationships (end to end, finish to finish...) and be able to put a delay: (Example: Start - Start+3days).
Thanks!!!

Enhance Notes
Microsoft Project has a nice note section where you can format bullets and fonts. It would be nice to enhance this section as I find that I add a lot as the project progresses and then have a way to export the notes that are connected to each task to see all the notes at once...maybe even have a notes view that shows all the notes at a glance.
8 votesQuickPlan now includes two URL task fields, we can use it to link to a file on the Web (or other app if possible)
We don’t suggest to include (attach) more content in a project file – let’s make the project schedule focus on project scheduling, and leave the documentation work in the documents (like requirements in requirement documents)

Shade weekend days
It would be great to have weekends shaded when viewing the gantt at the week level - it would make it very easy to visually determine how long tasks are and to mentally group them into weekly batches. Also include the shading in the PDF and XLS export files.
I prefer this to removing weekends as it maintains duration scale - actual duration is correctly reflected with the gaps for weekends.

hide tasks
It would be interesting that the project could hide tasks, so when a task is already done it can be hidden to have cleaner.
Thus if later you want to see all tasks performed, samples again and would be more functional.Thank you

Freely Hiding tasks is a good feature for common GTD apps, for the TREE structure task management app, this feature may confuse users and there are some logic problems:
- The data of task group will be strange if some sub tasks be hidden
- Changing task outline level will behaviour problem, if we outdent or indent a task which previous task be hidden, TREE will be broken or app display incorrectly
- Considering task link, hiding task will also cause moving be hard to understand
- Also changing sequence will be a problemI think the purpose of the idea is to hide the completed tasks, QuickPlan 8.0 (http://www.quickplan.xyz/documents/releasenotes/quickplanhd80/) will supports to display tasks in LIST style, when in list view, we can sort the tasks by some columns include the complete rate, this may be the feature helpful

other relationships
Hi,
Great update.. the best so far.
1. In addition to "Finish to start", I was wondering if you will add other relationships as well. This is extremely important to have.
2. Can you add to the properties dialog box, a field to manually set the task duration. this will speed up task duration as dragging the handles takes too much Time for very long tasks.. in addition, a user for example can change the duration to zero to change a task into a milestone.. or from zero to more to change a milestone back to a regular task. This…7 votesThanks for your idea. We will enhance the task property dialog to have easy to use “date and duration” sub popover view.

Redo button
Undo button is helpful — undo/redo would be even better!

replace “note” with “check list”
this app is of great use and i really appreciate it.
Almost satisfied with it.
Is is possible to add check list tab?
I would like to make a simple check list for each task.
I’m currently type tasks(like todo) directly in the note.
It is perfect if i can one-tap the check list i made and the %comp links with the check list.
The simple check list will be totally fine.
you do not have to make a complicated one.
i just want to see the current %comp by putting a check mark on the check list.7 votes -
Custom field to filter
When having large projects, getting overview is my main issue. One way of clustering is to have the indentation (grouping in the gantt chart). Issue for me is, that depending on the situation, I want to see a different clustering. Having a custom field (better even two) available per task would give the possibility to store custom tag. Functionality to filter on these tags would give me the option to have clear overview on my project. Making these tag fields available in the export would allow me to make my custom reports on project status from a single data source.

excel mac
On my iPad I can export to Excel. On Mac I have a CSV option. The excel export would be very welcome at Mac OS version of QuickPlan.

project journal log
Each project to have a journal that we can write issues that occur during the project.
When the note is logged it also provides the time and date logged, so we can go back through journal to asses areas that can be improved through our future projects6 votes -
Mr
Hello,
Would be great to be able to chose "weeks" or "months" as the duration unit, instead of only "days".

I am thinking if to develop an iPad app for Trello. Will research the integration.

iOS files app integration
There have been many suggestions to link files from various cloud storage platforms. This could now be better consolidated by integrating links through the iOS "Files" app and iCloud drive on MacOS. That would allow integration with any platform that already has files support. However, the base idea still stands, we need to either attach, or link to documents from a task. These could include such items as PDFs, Word/ Pages /Google Docs files, spreadsheets, pictures, etc. By linking to the file in iCloud, you off load the task of reading / displaying it to the default app that the…

QuickPlan version 10.1 starts to support importing from iOS Files app.

The latest version (10.0) introduces two additional URL fields, you can use it for the way you want, such as a link to the file in Dropbox app.

workload across projects
Some projects activity need to occur in parallel, Id like to have a way to see if I am putting too much workload in one resource in a day, or week.
This can be done easily with a week-days view and filtering in the calendar all tasks across that week.
Another workaround could be the ability to hide tasks so I can have a look to whats going on in a particular week or day.

Suggested solutions:
- Export the projects to Excel and manually consolidate them. -
Cloud-based projects
Ability to store a project file on the cloud and enable collaborative (multi-user) editing.

Automatic detection of overallocations
Hi,
Could you please add the possibility to let the application to determine resources overallocation (example for sub-projects inside the same master project if you don't want to compute for all projects, even if a shared pool of resources and check over all projects would be really good).I found reference to something similar in https://mobilinked.uservoice.com/forums/204287-feedback-and-ideas-for-quickplan/suggestions/3988895-resources saying something was done but link takes to a generic page and no explanation on how to do this is given in response nor user guide. Thanks

Our plan is to implement real-time resource report for the macOS version. And static reports for the iOS versions (as the consideration of performance). Right now, for the iOS versions the static resource report is in the exported Excel file – a in-app page may be the choice.
Best Regards,
Philip

Import from other projects and overall resources’ list
I have the same resources (members) for most of my project. But I don’t want to select one by one everytime I start a new project. Is there a way to import members, resources or stuff like that from other projects?
Also, does the app have an “overall list of members” for projects. Not every contact in my iPad is elegible for my projects. I wish I didn’t have to go through my friends and family’s contact everytime I make a list of the members for a project, unless they really are active in any of my projects.
As for…

PDF export improvements
Thanks for an outstandig planning app!
We use the pdf export quite often. When exporting the timeline to a A3 sheet, most of the time the app divides the timeline into two sheets. Not a real problem but I prefer my timelines on one sheet. To do that I select an A2 sheet instead of an A3 sheet. This solves the issue most of the times.
There's one issue though: When printing the timeline on a A3, text is projected with a (for example) 12 p fontsize. This fontsize does not have to increase when printing on a A2.
