Auto Update of linked Tasks
Hi, great piece of Software! However, I have not yet figured out how links affect tasks. If I e.g. create a finish-start link between task 1 and task 2 I would expect that task 2 will always start after task 1. For some reasons task 2 will not be moved regardless of task 1 position. Why?
Many zhanks and best regards
Sebastian
Hello,
Thanks for the comment.
The link in project schedule is task date constraint – the finish date of predecessor task should be early than the start date of successor task,.
Next version, one option will be for user to choose the link behaviour:
– Move linked task together
– Or follow “finish to start” link traditional behaviour
Best regards,
- Close this idea as it should be a ticket.

Hello,
What the link you are requesting is not the traditional task link type. Fortunately, QuickPlan supports another new task link type which is more intuitive but not common. Would you please help to tap the project name on the toolbar and to config the project task link type?
More details please check at https://quickplan.app/documents/ios/user-manual/project-properties/task-link-behaviour.

I agree as well: I like the product, but when a task falls behind and needs to be updated, the succeeding tasks should be automatically pushed back as well. This would be extremely helpful!

I agree with the other comment (first anonymous). Linked tasks should move with their predecessor, no matter the direction.

Great App but Auto scheduling should work both ways, if you push a task that successor links en all task should move forward, but if you reduce a task duration all successor tasks linked to that task should auto schedule backwards as well, unless constraints prevent this from happening
